As you may know by now , I am not a rap/hip-hop super fan. I love music of all sorts , but have a certain appreciation for the style people usually call indie or alternative. I personally just call it good stuff , but that's just me !
One of my favorite bands at the moment is
Oh land . They have this special edge to their music which I really love. I fell in love with the band when I first heard their song
sun of a gun a few months ago. I see it as a mix of electric pop and indie, but in all honesty , Oh land cannot be labeled and that's what makes them so interesting to me !
Oh land originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, recently toke a huge step and moved all the way to Brooklyn, New-York. Since then , things have been getting better and better. Their US debut album was released a few months ago, on the 19th of October 2010. It includes some of their best songs such as
sun of a gun , Wolf &I and
rainbow.
They previously released their first album
Fauna, which was extremely successful in Denmark including some great tracks like
Heavy eyes and
Still here.
